I just started working with this kid and we clicked immediately :) Jarrod is a young, talented musician from Michigan with a huge smile and big heart. As I was on my way out of the mall the other day, my eyes locked on these incredibly cool platform sandals. I could not bare to leave without trying them on, but I didn't buy them that day. The shoes stayed on my brain, and I eventually gave in and purchased them.

Here they are! Aren't they amazing?! I can't wait until spring!!!

This sage-colored jumper is so light and airy. I love it, eventhough jumpers can be a real pain to wear sometimes. It's a great break from all of the darker colors I've been wearing lately. I hadn't noticed how much black I've been wearing until Natalia brought it to my attention. It's funny....there was a time when I very rarely wore black clothing at all...

I hope everyone's year is starting off well! I've been so busy lately. Gotta get this balancing act together...

This weekend I did a little cosmetic shopping and purchased a couple of products that I have been meaning to pick up months ago. I'm probably the last person to purchase items from Salma Hayek's new cosmetic line Nuance, but I must say that I am very pleased. The lipstick is very smooth and lasted for most of the day. I usually stick to tinted lip gloss because lipstick can leave my lips a little dry, but this lipstick has an extreme amount of moisture. Salma is a beautiful woman, so I had no doubt that her products would be fab ;)

Olive Coco Magazine is one my favorite online sites to catch up on the latest beauty, fashion and entertainment news. I came across a nail tutorial showing how to add newspaper text/graphics on top of nail polish. This design can take a few tries to get it right, so practice makes perfect ;)

My sister, My mother and Me :)

As I mentioned before, every now and then I will post vintage photos of my mother, Veronica Renay :) I can't believe I found these photos of my sister, mother and I looking fabulous in red lipstick (not to mention that we look similar). My brand of choice is M.A.C and my sister likes Revlon. My mother used to wear all brands but she preferred Revlon as well.

This is one of my favorite dresses. It's sheer, black and has this incredibly cute bow that I love sooooo much! It's the ideal babydoll dress. It was perfect for the weekend, especially since we've been having this weird weather. It's cold during the week and pleasantly warm on the weekends.

To be honest, I'm not much of a high heels girl. I feel more confident and comfortable when I wear flats, but occasionally I will find a a pair of heels that I need in my life :) I found these rockin' shoes on Piperlime.com. I'm a huge fan of the T.V. show Project Runway and on the past seasons the contestants used accessories from the Piperlime wall; so I decided to take a look the website.

Most of the females I know tend to lean towards the nude colors when it comes to makeup. Natural colors are sophisticated, simple and safe and can be worn everyday. Occasionally I'll break away from the loud colors, but I don't stay away for long :P

BCBG always makes fun, stylish clothes. This shirt has heavy buttons along the back which tend to weigh down the fabric. I love the way the shirt falls and gathers on it's own. It's a great twist on a standard black and white shirt.

For this post, I wanted to rock a natural eye look with a pop of color. Purple is my go-to color because it seems to go well with brown eyes.
