Have you ever looked at a piece of clothing and imagined how much better it would be if you could make one simple alteration? Something as simple as removing embellishments, adding pockets or shortening a hem can make a huge difference. I often wish I could make subtle changes to clothing, especially if I'm shopping for something specific and nothing quite fits the bill.
 

This lace crop top, which was once a BCBG shirt, is a prime example of turning those thoughts into reality. I spotted the shirt on clearance and immediately had it altered. I had the bottom half of the shirt chopped off because I knew it would be so much better as a crop top. Best decision ever!
