Simple Addition

Socks with sandals isn't a new trend, but it is one of those trends that you either love or hate. Socks, in my opinion, add spunk to an outfit. They can change the look of a sandal into that of a boot, which allows you to spice up your shoe collection without putting a dent in your wallet.

Many designers are pairing socks with shoes in ads and on the runway. Dsquared² brilliantly displayed socks and sandals on their Fall '13 runway. The use of socks added subtle charm to the striking 1940's themed collection, but this trend isn't limited to fall and winter. Karl Lagerfeld sent every model down the Chanel SS14 runway in socks with pumps and, if nothing else, I was inspired to buy more socks...

Have a great week!

  2. I really like socks on other people but feel weird trying out the look myself. I love it on you though. Also- you remind me of 20's film stars. Something so lovely about that!

  8. The socks + pumps was such a great touch to the Chanel show, and this combo is killer too. From a distance it looks like a bootie with some sort of sheer detail at the top - super cute.
