Betty Patent Leather Platform Pumps (another color here)

 

My search for the perfect pair of navy pumps began over a year ago. I looked everywhere, and I was consistently disappointed. Something was always wrong with every shoe...the color was too light or too dark, the heel wasn't the right height, the platform was too high (or not high enough). I continued to look and, eventually, I stumbled upon these beauties. I was hooked. Everything about them was perfect! Well, the shoes were perfect. The price was out of my range. So, I waited. And waited...and waited...until I saw them on sale. There was only one pair left, and it was my size. Destiny? I think so.

A touch of whimsy

This whimiscal peplum top was a random Cyber Monday purchase, and it has turned out to be one of my favorite purchases this season. It's funny how certain clothes can completely change your mood. Just pair a pencil skirt (or cigarette pants) and heels with this lovely top, and it's a good day :)

Sock it to me

Lately I have been pairing socks with dresses and skirts. I haven't done that in years but, after seeing such amazing photos on Pinterest, I was inspired to go there again. I actually bought these long socks last fall. They were on clearance, and I thought they were cool. They sat in my drawer for a full year before I pulled them out and slipped them on with a pair of platform sandals. I had no idea they would extend so far up my legs, but they worked out just fine (and kept my legs toasty). As for the lace socks, they are a classic (and necessary) addition to any wardrobe...
