Normally I'm not a fan of ruffles, but this skirt managed to grab my attention anyway. I've had it for a few years, and I'm still not tired of it. It accents my curves. It's colorful. It's fun. It's great for day or night (depending on what it's paired with). In other words...it's a keeper ;)

When in doubt, fro' it out.

Curly hair can be a pain at times, but not when you use the right products for your hair type. Whenever I decide to go au natural for the day, I feel like I use everything but the kitchen sink for curly hair. My go-to products as of late have been Mane 'n Tail shampoo/conditioner, Paul Mitchell Round Trip Curl Definer, Samy Big Curls and Garnier Fructis Wonder Waves Defining Mousse. All of these products work WONDERS on my hair; they leave my hair soft and never crunchy and define my curls. What products do you all use for your curly hair?

A Fair Trade

This spring and summer, the Miller Sandal has been my favorite neutral shoe. Having to think about putting them away for cooler fall and winter weather made me a little sad...I mean, what would I do without my go-to shoe?!

But then I discovered these Reva Flats in the same tan, tumbled leather...

All is well. Fall, I am ready for you.

New In...

I saw this dress in Target over the weekend and instantly fell in love! It has a slight vintage feel to it, and I can style it with any type of shoe.

I asked my blogging partner, Shandrese, advice on what type of sneakers I should wear this Fall, and she suggested leather Converse. I LOVE them and will be wearing them every season. ;) These shoes are from Journeys.

A couple of weeks ago I stopped in Sephora to check out the new merchandise. An employee overheard me talking about suffering from minor blemishes and combination skin, and she recommended that I try the Tea Tree skin care line. I have been using this line for about 2 weeks now, and I have already noticed a difference. My forehead is less oily AND the small bumps have lessened. Woohoo! Try out a sample if you get a chance! (I do not recommend this product for people who suffer from dry skin).

Breaking the Rules

I used to be one of those people who refused to wear white shoes and/or clothes after labor day, so it always feels kind of weird when I break the rules. However, I decided these shoes were just too awesome to retire this early, especially since the weather has been so wonderful lately.
