BH Cosmetics Brushes and Shadows

I'm going to be honest and say that I'm a girl who has a limited amount of funds, but I want it all (I'm talking about cosmetics in this case). With that being said, BH Cosmetics always delivers when I'm on a beauty binge. Their colors are vibrant and, most of all, friggin' affordable! So, you should try them out if you haven't already. Please feel free to mention any of your favorite beauty finds in a comment below. Especially lipsticks, and nail polishes, get the point :P

Waiting for Clear Skies

Tank/Skirt: BCBG, Purse: Coach (newest version here)

It's been raining on and off over the last few days. After returning home a couple of days ago, I rushed back outside to snap these outfit pictures between bouts of rain. The forcast calls for similar weather throughout the weekend...hopefully the rain clouds stay away because all of my weekend plans involve being outdoors. The rain and my hair do not get along :(

Thanks for all of the love on my last post!!

Hoping your day is filled with sunshine :)

Vintage Renay

Here's another photo of Veronica Renay back in the day. This photo was taken in the early 80's when my parents lived in Germany. I see that high waist skinny jeans, men's button up shirts & ties, fedoras and red lips are still in style.
Have a good week!

~Natalia :)

Here are pieces that can be found on ASOS that are similar to this look:

Hat, Top, Pants, Lipstick and Tie.

Jumper: BCBG, Shoes: MICHAEL Michael Kors, Purse: Coach, Bracelets: Forever 21

This jumper is one of my favorites. It's amazingly light and airy. The top hangs loosely over the ribbon belt causing a bit of a balloon effect. Sometimes, when I want a cleaner look, I'll fold the top a little beneath the waistband and belt to slim down the midsection. I was feeling pretty carefree today, so I didn't bother. Comfortable clothes make everything so much better...

Have a great day!!

Summer is in full effect and it's hotter than four shades of hell in Virginia. With that being said, it's very difficult to step out of the house looking glamorous. Every weekend I tell myself I'm going to go outside to take beauty shots, but my camera lens ends up covered in steam or my brows start to smear on my forehead. :S Anyway, I went to Sephora recently and found the most perfect blush. Let me repeat that, The. Perfect. Blush. It's called Laguna (by Cargo) and its melon shade will probably look great on all skin tones. Even better, it lasts a pretty long time; even on the most hot and sweatiest of days. I decided to pair the blush with a pink and orange mixed lip (as seen on my blog posts here and here). I used a cream shadow by M.A.C (Indian Wood), gel eyeliner by Maybelline, mascara by Rimmel, brows by M.A.C, and lower lid liner by Urban Decay (Midnight Cowboy). Go out and buy this blush! Have a good week and don't melt!

Party shoes

MICHAEL Michael Kors Gansevoort Platform Sandal (similar here)

These are my favorite platform sandals. I bought them two years ago when I was looking for a great shoe to pack for a weekend in Vegas. I loved them then, and I still love them now...

I guess you can consider this a "sneak peek" because I'll be wearing these shoes in my next post ;)

Have a great day!

Sunrise, Sunset Ombre Nails

Ombre nail designs are everywhere---especially on Youtube, so I decided to try it out for myself. This nail technique is pretty simple for first timers and you can use items that are already in your cosmetic stash. These items include a solid, white nail polish (for the base coat), two or three different nail polish colors, a clear top coat polish, makeup wedges, nail polish remover and q-tips. I'm not a big fan of seeing or hearing myself on video, but there are several video tutorials online. Nikki's Tutorials is a very helpful tutorial to achieve this look. I hope you all enjoy this post :)

Finished look.
Start by applying a base coat of white polish to your nails and let it dry. Apply 3 strips of polish to a makeup wedge.
Blot the nail colors onto your nail. Repeat to this step a few times to darken the polish.

Dip a q-tip into nail polish remover and wipe away the mess :P While the polish is a little damp, top it off with a clear coat of polish and you're done!

I used nail polish by China Glaze, Hot Topic, Wet-n-Wild and Cherimoya.
