Summertime equals beaches...for me, at least. There's really no place I'd rather be. The wind and waves were pretty rough this past weekend, so I didn't spend very much time in the water. A storm was coming, but I was able to enjoy a little sunshine before the rain slowly made it's way to shore.

Floral

 Summer is officially here, but unfortunately I spent this past weekend under the weather :/ When I managed to work up a little energy, I decided to apply these pretty nail skins by Butter London to brighten my mood. To be honest, these nail skins are really cute, but the application process isn't as flawless as other brands. But if you are looking for something quick and unique for a night out, these are for you:) I hope everyone has a good week!

The Blues

I've been wearing a lot of blue lately...and I hadn't really noticed until today. It's kind of funny. I looked through my closet, and I was shocked by how many items of blue clothing I have accumulated over the past few months. I don't think it was necessarily the color that initially attracted me to most of the items. This dress, for example, is navy, but it was the coral details that really caught my attention. I love coral on my complexion, and the deco pattern is very appealing. It's also really mod, which is a deal sealer for me nowadays. From the moment I laid eyes on this dress, it was destined to come home with me.  My closet welcomed it.

True Blood

Who's excited about the new season of True Blood?! *raises hand* Here are a few photos that I took a couple of seasons ago for a True Blood party that I held for friends. I'm a HUGE fan of the show and all things vampire (as you can tell by now) :P This was around the time I was first introduced to BH Cosmetics. The eye shadow colors in their palettes are extremely vibrant, especially when applied on top of an eye shadow base. Have a good week!

California Dreamin'

Last spring, Natalia and I flew to San Francisco with our friend, Rosalie. We wandered around the city, ate a lot of food, and got a serious workout from many miles of walking. A few days later, we rented a car and drove to Los Angeles. We soaked in as much of California as we could in five days and, lately, I've become increasingly nostalgic. Apparently, the time I spent in the Golden State wasn't nearly enough. It must be time to start planning another trip but, in the meantime, here are some photos that I took during our stay.

Natalia snapped this photo of me. I was completely unprepared for the cool weather during this trip. I packed dresses and sandals, when I really needed pants and flats. I'm so accustomed to warm weather that I often forget that it actually stays cool in other places (haha!). Lesson learned...

Calypso

This was a pretty busy weekend for me, so I'm surprised that I found time to take pictures. Besides going to see Snow White and the Huntsman and spending time with the family for the Game of Thrones finale, I found time to get something different done to my hair. I have always liked the dip dyed hair trend, so I decided to go for it this weekend (thanks to my stylist, Teisha). I paired it up with a light, smokey eye by NYX and a pink lip by Napoleon.
