Wishful Thinking: Dreamy Sandals

When I have a little bit of down time I find myself browsing the internet; drooling over items that are out of my price range and items that are fairly affordable. What can I say? A girl can dream, can't she? Here are a few pair of shoes that made my heart skip a beat.

Vintage Renay

My mother, Veronica Renay, in the 80's---she was so stylish :) The crazy thing is, I see people rocking this look now. I guess some fashion trends never go out of style.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

On the weekend of April 14th, 2012 friends and I attended the annual march against sexual assault and gender violence, "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes." As soon as we arrived at the event we were greeted by law enforcement officers who rocked sky high heels. I was a little shocked at how amazing (and comfortable) these men looked in some of the "not so average" women's shoes. (You know what they say, "go hard or go home!") :P  I was very happy to see so much support for an important cause. Here are some of the photos from the event. Enjoy!

Earth tones

Dress: H&M, Belt: Target, Shoes: Zara, Purse: Coach, Watch: Michael Kors

It was cloudy most of the day, so I decided to take a little break from bright colors. I purchased this light brown dress at the H&M "Black Friday Sale" in November, but I never wore it until today. I think I only paid $15 for it...

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Qupid and Bamboo

I picked up these sweet sandals over the weekend by Qupid and Bamboo. The tribal patterns go well with maxi dresses, rompers or shorts. I'm going for a carefree kind of vibe this spring and summer ;) I purchased these shoes from Bare Feet Shoes (they are not displayed on the site), but the following sites offer the same styles.

Tangerine

Dress: Gap, Shoes: Gianni Bini, Bracelets/Necklace: Forever 21, Ring: Banana Republic

Tangerine is a popular color this season, and I've jumped on the bandwagon. I bought this dress last week, and I couldn't wait to wear it. It's super comfortable, and the busy pattern allows for minimal accessorizing. It's perfect for running errands in this gorgeous weather.

Enjoy the rest of your week :)

Cherry Red and Sea Foam Green

I purchased this cherry red lipstick from N.Y.X and sea foam green nail polish from Hot Topic a while ago. These are two more colors that are perfect for the spring :) The polish is pretty amazing; all you need is one coat because it's really opaque. I hate when I have to keep applying coats, know what I mean?

Hot Topic has more polish options in store.

Beach Bum

Dress: BCBGeneration (old)

I absolutley love the beach, and I spend a lot of time there during the warm months. I woke up bright and early and headed to the pier to soak in the breeze and salty air. The water is still pretty cold, but I walked along the shore and let my feet feel the chill of the waves anyway.

Wild Orange

So, I purchased a fabulous orange lipstick a while ago by Kat Von D and I must say that this is the perfect color for warm weather. I've seen people with skin complexions ranging from fair to dark who look great in this shade. :) On a different note, I have natural curly hair and every time I blow dry it I feel like Mufasa from The Lion King (hence the title of this post). :P Have a good week!
