Green corners and blonde tips for the new year

I was playing around on my cell in these photos. I wanted to do a natural eye, but I couldn't stay away from the bright colors so I went with green eye shadow and a nude lip. The eye makeup came from my BH Cosmetics palette and the lipstick, gloss and liner came from MAC. I had the tips of my hair dyed blonde for the new year :)

Holiday Look

I decided to dress simple for the holidays by wearing a black and white tunic with black leggings and red flats. The Kate Spade purse was a gift from my grandmother earlier this year and I thought it went well with my outfit :) I didn't want to wear a bright red lipstick (seeing that I was already wearing red shoes), so I went with a berry lip and a smokey, grey eye.

Makeup from MAC, Urban Decay and Walgreens (lipgloss).
Kate Spade
These red flats were purchased years ago (Antonio Melani), Tunic (Ross), Leggings (Torrid)

My mother had a great sense of style her whole life. She oozed confidence and I think that came from being an artist. She started working in the cosmetology field in her twenties and she enjoyed making her clients look their best.

Every now and then I'll try to post ole' school pictures of my mother :)

Veronica in the 70's. She looked fierce in that blue dress :P

27 Stockings

To get in the holiday spirit, my supervisor wanted a friend and I to decorate Christmas stockings for the staff. He sent me on a mission to purchase a total of 27 stockings and let me tell you, I got all kind of stares in the store :S The gawks turned out to be worth it because the glittery stockings put a smile on my coworkers faces :)

Happy Holidays!

Top: Zara, Pants: Forever 21

I’m a huge fan of wide-legged pants. They are so comfortable, and comfort is key. I found these pants randomly tucked behind a bunch of dresses. I guess someone put them there with hopes to return for them later...

I’ve wanted to try out flash photography for a while. I like how the light just floods in and washes everything out. I prefer natural light for photos, but sometimes I’m inspired to try something new.

Have a great day!

Twilight Saga Geek

Like every other red-blooded female, I'm addicted to the Twilight Saga. From books, to t-shirts, to accessories, I love all things vampire. We all wish we had an Edward to snuggle up against at night :P
Buttons came from Five Below.

Team Edward.

Vampire ring came from Hot Topic. Mixed metal nails can be done with any gunmetal polish, gold polish and silver foil leaf.
Simple cat-eye liner with nude eyeshadow and lip. Try dusting a shimmer powder over your face for the sparkling vampire look :P

Socks from Rue 21.

Pleats and Polka Dots

Shirt: H&M, Skirt: Forever 21, Bracelets: Banana Republic, Shoes: Gianni Bini

I love this skirt! Pleats and polka dots…together! I feel so girly and free in sheer fabric. Today was pretty warm, which is weird because last week was so cold. I’m grateful for any day that I can wear short sleeves. Not looking forward to wearing coats. They always make me feel bogged down.

Immortal Gold

I was inspired by the film Immortals for this look. In fantasy films such as this, the gods tend to rock a fresh face, matte lip and lots of natural and gold colors. I have been searching for the perfect gold polish for a while, and MAC delivered (as usual). This rich polish looks as if it were handed down from the gods themselves.

Makeup used in this series of photos: Tarte, MAC
